Dallas is also home to some of the biggest and the best city farmers markets! Bread and pastries, arts and crafts, and fresh produce can be found all across the city — especially with the number of farmers markets sprawled in different parts of Dallas.

Dallas Farmers Market

Rosemeade Market

The Ruibal’s Rosemeade Market is an offshoot of the successes of the Ruibal family. Established in 2013, the Ruibal’s Rosemeade Market is but one of the additions to the family’s expansive operations, which includes three other nursery locations. The market combines the full-services of a nursery, something the family has been known for over 30 years, with the convenience of a produce market.

Michael Ruibal started with just a 10’x20’ rented space at the Dallas Farmers’ Market selling bedding plants in 1984. Bit by bit, year after year, the family expanded the operations of Ruibal’s Plants of Texas. Today, they have over 130 greenhouses covering nearly thirty acres!

The market carries fresh produce, eggs, local, honey, and more. The Garden and Gift shop, also located within Rosemeade, completes the setup and makes it a one-stop-shop.

Sweet Harvest

The Sweet Harvest — Dulce Cosecha in Spanish — thrives amidst what could have been very devastating circumstances. When the Dallas Farmers Market decided to downsize its vendors in 2015, four vendors chose to come together and meet the adversity head-on.

They banded and established Sweet Harvest in June 2015. With their years of experience, the vendors set up shop across the Dallas Farmers Market in a beautiful red shed. And from there, the rest is history!

So, if on your next visit you’re disappointed by the number of fresh produce vendors at the much larger Dallas Farmers Market, take a short walk across the street and you just might find what you’re looking for.

Sweet Harvest has fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts (how long do nuts last?), flowers, plants, a juice bar, pies, and salsas — most of the things you really want from a farmers market!

1103 S Harwood St, Dallas, TX 75201. Call (214) 283-9801. Visit Sweet Harvest for more information.
