After spending last year’s Halloween deep in pandemic panic, it feels great to bring the Jack-O-Lanterns and the creepy cobwebs out from the attic. Scream Therapy at the House of Torment
If you’ve always wanted to check out Austin’s local haunted houses, then Halloween is the perfect occasion to do so! House of Torment is a much-loved spot that’s been in the business of raising hell for over 12 years. Expect elaborately designed sets, talented horror artists, freakish animatronic monsters and some absolutely chilling sound effects! Get Artsy at Flower Studio’s Monster Mayhem Pumpkin Painting Class
In case you’re planning a laid back Halloween with your little ones, then this event can be something right up your alley. Flower Studio, a leading full-service florist in Austin wants you to channel your inner Van Gogh and come paint some pumpkins! At Monster Mayhem, your child will be provided with all supplies including pumpkins and paints. A Designer will guide the kids through the session as they create some fun Halloween decorations. Raise Your Spirits at Trick or Drink Halloween Barcrawlerz
Looking for an excuse to party for three straight days? Well, here comes Halloween to the rescue! The Trick or Drink Bar Crawl by Barcrawlerz is a three-day Halloween event featuring some of the best drink specials and bars in Austin. Participating bars include The Dogwood, BBG’s, SOHO Lounge, The Cat’s Pajamas among others (more TBA). The launch poster for the event promises ‘three days of frightful fun’ and we’re here for it. Hit the Spooky Notes at Halloween Children’s Concert
If your kids are musically inclined or enjoy live performances, then Austin Symphony’s annual Halloween Children’s Concert sounds like a great idea. Imagine halls decked up in scary Halloween décor and an eerie orchestral performance that gives you goosebumps in your seats! Hosted by the Long Center for the Performing Arts, this spook-tacular concert will leave a long-lasting impression on every little goblin who attends. Stirrup Some Trouble at the Trick ‘O’ Treat Trail
For families who share a love for our four-legged equine friends, Healing with Horses Ranch is looking to host the perfect Halloween outing with their annual Trick ‘O’ Treat Trail. The ranch is known as a therapeutic riding center, so we’re sure that their Halloween trail is going to include lots of de-stressing and memorable activities for kids and adults alike. This event is also a great opportunity for the young ones to spend some quality time with the ranch horses and imbibe some of that gentle energy. Ghoul Out at Pioneer Farms’ Pumpkin Nights
This event looks like it’s going to be out of this world! Pioneer Farms are known for their great Halloween soirees, and after a comparatively quiet 2020, they’re back with a carnival that leaves nothing to the imagination. From enormous Jack-o-Lanterns, a life-size pumpkin pirate ship to a flying 40-foot dragon and many more mind-boggling attractions, this event has it all.
